-she rolled her eyes vaguely- I had assumed that much...
-her attention was drawn back at him for a moment to see how far behind her they were, habituary, when she stopped in her tracks and stared at him disbelievingly. Was he stupid? no....he's foreign...she thought-
Don't stand in that! It's Poison Oak!!! -she pointed down at Kael's feet and the three-leaved plant that was raking itself against him with every step-

-He gets out of it, fearing it might really be truely poisonous. But all he finds is that he's itchy. He looks up at her like she's crazy.-
"Not anymore, it is"
-In a flash, the small but growing red bumps on his legs are gone, dissapeared, just like that. He's glad theres something to take her mind off asking him where he's from again-

-her eye twitched as she was sure of what she had just seen. she convulsed, and turned back around, muttering over and over to herself, forgetting about everything else, just walking- its all in your head...all in your head Tibbs...just your imagination...
-then she stopped walking again. here was the grove of trees. Baby starlings errupted from their nest in a chorus of chirrups as she passed by their grounded home, and a porcupine rolled itself up defensively as it caught wind of the canine-beasts. Tibbs took no notice of these things, for before her, only yards away, was the small cave in which she had spent her last few moments with her father. she motioned absently towards it- In there...-she couldnt make herself take a step further, her eyes were dominated by the sad blue once more...and looked watery. she bowed her head and uttered a prayer before taking a hesitant slow step forward, turning to kael.-
well..come on! -she acted impatient, although she really just didnt want to go in alone-

-He senses the change in her personality as they near the cave, and she seems jumpy and nervous now. He instantly stand sbesides her. This was obviously some place of importance and as he digs around nonchalantly in her mind, he finds that it was more of an emotional tribute to the last happy monthes with her father she ever had. he braces himself, he doesn't want any waterworks here.
They both step into the cave, he's dully aware of the fur brushing against his side, both foxes with with them. Water drips from the stalactites dribbling down the stalagmites.
He can hear her boots crunching softly on the gravel, his own feet getting pierced occationally by the large rock, but he pays no mind, as long as his feet obeyed him and walked silent he doesn't care what happens to them.-

-Penter had perched himself on a branch outside the cave before Tibbs went in, now contentedly preening himself.
She brushed stray strands of milk-coloured hair from her eyes. As they went deeper into the cave, it got darker. But she knew this place like the back of her own hand. She felt a breeze coming from the left, from where the stone should have been. That was the place where the plant should be. She realized that as a child she had never been allowed in here...so she did not know where any ditches in the floor were. She took each step carefully, always checking the firmness of the ground before her with her boot-tip first. Then a small beam of light fell upon the cave floor, from a hole way up high on the cave wall. That was ground level, then...then they were subterranean. She turned her head this way and that, listening for slight sounds of any dangers that lurked in dark places such as this. But nothing. She blinked. Odd. She leaned against the wall, in thought. She couldn't see Kael anymore, the beam of light not being wide enough to engulf him, so she just sighed in a whispery voice-
If there are any around here...this is where they are.
-she retreated to her own thoughts again. she couldnt help but imagine her father stepping out from the shadows, fully alive and well, and saying everything would be alright now...they would be together again. Then reality closed in like a choker, and she came back to it. Idly she twisted her hair around her finger, listening for anything at all-

-He steps behind her, not really caring where he steps anymore. It was obvious enough there was no other living creature in this cave, and if he tripped and sprained or even broke his ankle, he could heal it instantly after he played it off a bit with Tibbs, getting the pity up at an all time high.
He instantly starts rsutling around until he draws his hand back from something he finds in the corner. Reaching into his leather pouches, he draws out a slender dagger with a curved blade, like a kitana, only ten times smaller. He grasps the plant firmly near the roots, as instructed, and cuts it out in one clean swipe. Then, he slips it into a small magic-coated pouch so the pollen and such could not seem out. He continues until he has two pouches filled, as was his his exact orders. Once done, he starts moving around a bit, telepathing strongly so that no matter where she was, she'd be able to hear it.-

-Tibbs shifted. this telepathy thing was starting to give her a migrane. she caught herself. she had just identified it as a telepathy thing...magic. did. not. exist!
she had been in thought, and the soft rustling startled her back to herself. still leaning against the wall, she slips a hand into her cloak, to grasp yet another dagger hidden in her many folds. something didn't seem right...why were there no noises? she did not truly believe there was danger here, but just to be on the save side, she repeatedly tapped the flat of the small blade against her palm. was it just her imagination, or did that beam of light seem to get smaller and smaller every second? she suddenly felt a bit nervous, and shifted again. there was no breeze in here. where had it come from earlier then? then she heard it. she could only hear it for a split second, at the end of her heartbeat, and then it faded off. breathing. deep breathing. her hair was being ruffled by a wind from above. she dared a glance up, but saw nothing. she was starting to spook herself. she waited for Kael, but was tempted to just go back to the main corridor right now-

-He doesn't recieve any call back, but picks up the rustling of her coat as she moves her hand and grasps the dagger tightly. He is instantly at her side, his rough leather hide pants brushing up against her velvety cloak.
He, too, feels something, as well as hears it. He doesn't like it. He starts breathing softer, to make sure it's not him. At first, he has mind to telepath Tibbs strongly and tell her to stop making those ridiculous breathing noises... but they get louder and louder as Tibb's starts to shrink up against wall, and up against him. He stands tall, proud. whatever was in here would have to stand the light because he simply cannot fight when he can't tell what it is he's fighting against.- 'Shirak'
-He speaks a simple light spell and the entire cavern is elapsed in a momentary blinding light. As it fades, a lagr eblack shape lunges for him. His eyesight sharpens quickly as he bangs his head on the floor sharply, whatever it is still on his chest.
He finally opens his eyes meekly, ready to see whatever creature he fights. It must be soemthing like a fox, or a small dog like creature, because he can feel it's fur. But wait.. there's a few too many pairs... he gasps as he finally looks up to see thousands of black, glittering eyes, all staring at him, and huge razor sharp pincers inches away from his face.
A giant spider, at least the size of his muscular torso-

-Tibb's face was illuminated for a moment with the spell, which she tried to convince herself was a parlor trick, and as it was so was the creature. As the light faded and it attacked Kael, Tibbs' instinct was to scream. But she contained that...she kenw better. It might attract more, if there were any more. She gripped the dagger even tighter, then realized with a surge of pain that she had still been tapping her palm. She could feel the hot blood course down her hand and arm.
She prepared to take a stab at the thing with the now bloodied blade, but she could not see it. If she tried, she would be at risk of stabbing Kael...and she did not know what to do but use her hands to see what was what.
She bent and grasped at whatever she could with her crimson-streaked hand, and was almost sick as it closed over a long, spindly and hairy leg. That was her target. She raised her dagger, and it shimmered red against the small peck of light still showing through the hole.
At the scent of blood, the arachnid began squirming, and as she sliced at it she only managed to dismember a four-kneed leg. she tossed it over her shoulder quickly and grabbed at it again, hoping against hope that it wouldnt find her hand as a meal. this time she missed the creature entirely, and her red stained palm rested on bare flesh. Where was that spider?
She went still and listened. A combination of a hiss, rustle, and rattle sounded from beside her, and she took a stab at it riding upon a whim. she smiled grimly as she heard a squeal and recoil from the beast, but her blade was yanked from her hand, embedded wherever it had been plunged.
Now she was weaponless. Beautiful. Wonderful! Tibbs felt around her cloak once more for another weapon, but it seemed they didn't exist. And she remembered her long-blades, left with her saddle, bow and arrow quiver where she had 'met' Kael...and the tiny dagger that had been thrown at her and reused against its owner...she had no idea where that was...it was last stuck in Kael's leg...
She heard a loud hiss and kicked out fiercely, catching the creature in its 'face' and throwing it a few yards away from her.
All this shuffling about on the gravel had worsened the slice in her hand. It now was a beacon the spider couldn't miss.
At least I'll die where my father died...she thought. She mentally apologized to Kael for bringing him here, and utterred another quick prayer.
It was coming in for another round. You'd think it would give up, having a dagger stuck in it's belly, missing a leg, and having its face kicked in. Tibbs drew back as tight as she could against the wall and waited for her demise-
((i was bored. too much to read? you'll get over it XD))

-He feels totally helpless as he lays on the floor, slipping in and out of conscience. The creature hadn't bitten him in the head, which was were it was aiming- the place that would kill him instantly as the poisen spread to his brain in seconds.
But he had still been bitten, although the aim was poor since it's leg had just been slashed, two huge gashing holes, leaking large amounts of blood pool on the floor. The skin around it already starts to shrivel up and die- the poisen was strong in such a large creature. His whole body was becoming stunned, his vision hazy.
But he can hear the spider wrsetling with Tibbs, and he can hear her surprised and territoryed speak as she finally falls silent. He can't do anything about it, but call for help.-
Bane! -he manages to cry out before slipping into blissful unconscienceness.-
-The overgrown fox uses it's huge batlike ears from a completly different part of the caves and instantly teleports to Kael's side. He looks around, his eyes finally resting on the human and spider which was cornering her up against a wall, for he and Kera could both see in night vision.
He instantly pounces upon the huge creature, yumbling with it on the floor, struggling to keep on top. He instantly blazes the place with light again, but it is dont more efficiantly this time, not a huge burst of bright light, but a dim light, getting lighter andlighter, like a light bulb kick in to action.
He yelps as he feels one of the lightly-tipped posien claws slash against his stomach. It's time to stop wrestling with the beast. His eyes glow a deep blood red and the spider stops moving, it's eyes staring straight forward, unseeing, it's spirit had left, but it was still alive, twitching every once and a while.
It was worse than dead.
The spirit, itself, was captured deep inside Bane's owl. He would release it to Fire later, and the huge tiger would be able to turn it into pure energy he could use during the war.
He looks around, not for Kael, or the human girl, Tibbs, but for Kera. He limps forward a bit, he can feel the poisen coursing through his viens quickly, and before he can manage to heal himself, he faints, slumping to the ground, his eyelids half closed half not, twitchig spuratticly.-

-Tibbs blinked. All she knew was that the beast had been looming over her...and then it was gone. That light...magic? no!!!!! NO!!! NO!!! MAGIC DOESNT EXIST! she convinced herself once more of this and shuffled around toward Kael's still body. Was he dead? she didn't dare think about it...that would be two lives lost in this cave...
She watched the blood pool out from the fangmarks and winced as the dying flesh caught her gaze. She leaned over and put her head against his chest, listening for a heartbeat. There was one...though it was slow. She pulled herself back up, sitting on her knees, thinking. She didn't know what to do...then her eyes darted to the twitching, soulless creature. Her dagger was still stuck in it...she looked about uncertainly before edging her way over to it. With her foot she knocked it on its back and drew the blade from its belly, now coverred in her own blood and a sickly green ichor. she thought she would vomit, but managed to keep the contents of her stomach inside her. She moved back to Kael's side. She didn't know what to do...so she just sat. She couldn't leave him here.
She set about her wounded palm, cutting a long strip from her pants, making a slit up to her mid-thigh, which she didnt thoroughly like. She wrapped the material tightly about her hand and tied it, looking once more at Kael's still frame.
She leaned back against the wall, becoming thirsty. She eyed a pool of water that had dripped from the cave formations, bent her head to the liquid and drank from it. It wasn't stale, but it left a nasty aftertaste. As an afterthought she cupped her one good hand and carried as much water over to where she had been before as possible, losing much of it on the way. She splashed it on Kael's face, having a feeling that a fever might have crept in with the poison. Her hand stung, she bit down on the hilt of her dagger to keep her thoughts off of the pain. She stared blankly infront of her, reliving old moments with her father, and waiting-

~Two murky olive eyes watched the events unfold, their bearer remaining silent and unseen. It was too risky going out in the open. Not out of fear, but logic. If they all went down, there'd be no one left to go on.
And then, the battle was finished.
Kera snorted and stepped out of her temporary hiding base, having closely followed the situation up until now, and keeping herself from interfering. It wasn't always easy watching her beloved and the human boy they'd sworn to protect go down like this. But it had to be done.
The misty ivory vixen trotted through the hushed darkness, around the spider corpse and beside Bane's fallen body. First thing's first...~
'Easy, my darling. It's over now...'
~She whispered soothingly to the male, her eyes swirling with color as magic that naturally ran in her blood awoke. A circle of creamy white light engulfed her, and soon the masculine fox on the ground, as a complex yet easily conjured healing spell went into effect. Kera closed her eyes, and the light faded from her and sank into Bane's body, glowing as it traveled through his veins and extracted the deadly poison from the spider.
And again, darkness overcast the cave. Kera sighed and opened her eyes, a good portion of her energy gone. She bent down and licked Bane's cheek, then warmly nuzzled his neck. He'd be fully recovered in due time, with a scar marking his battle on his stomach unless he chose to rid of it.
Now, it was the human’s turn. And he'd require greater assistance. The femme shifted and lurked towards the human pair, eyes still gleaming with magic.
Walking up to the girl, her gaze traveled down to Kael's leg, where the evident bite mark was rotten his skin. Again, Kera closed her eyes, but this time a soft glow did not come forth. This called for her power to be centered, not scattered.
Reaching down, her glossy black nose gently hovered over the boy's wound. An eerie silence had taken over, the soft dripping of water echoed through the cave. The fox controlled her breathing as powerful magic once again swirled inside her.
Then, with a simple touch, a binding light shot through Kael's body like an electric wave. For a moment, but only a moment, the cave was overcome with light, and then it was all dark once more.
Kera stood back, shaky and disoriented, but pleased with her work. Two neatly patched holes remained on the boy's leg, a mere reminder of his near death. The femme closed her eyes and leaned over on the wall. It'd take the two a few minutes to wake. Just enuff for her to regain control...~

-He is first to wake, since he wasn't as poisened as Kael, and was the first to be healed. He stands up and instantly feels a sharp throbbing pain in his temples.
But he stands anyways, wobbling a bit as her tries to walk. He finally makes his way over to Kera, catching her breath near the humans. He looks towards her, nuzzling her gently, showing this thankfulness and love. It was one of those rare moments when Bane acted like he did before they had both been taken by Fire, turned evil.
He nudges her on the chest, licking her muzzle lovingly, whinning to make sure she's ok. Once he's done, he puts his guards back up and turns back to the human girl, Tibbs, staring at her as though saying 'Now do you believe?'-
-He finally rustles a few minutes after Kael, he feels for his neck and his leg, feeling the bumpy scars. He could probably get rid of them, but never would he. He would keep them, like he kept all his scars, battle treasures.
He finally starts to stand slowly so that his head doesn't start throbbing, finally lighting the room dimly again, ignoring the slightly green figure of the spider. He looks to Tibbs expectantly, not quite sure what he's waiting for her to do or say, but certainly waiting for something.
He just stand, his chiseled face stares at her with those cold light gray-purple eyes, his long wavy blonde hanging in his eyes. He flexes his arms and chest, waking them up, making his 6 pack and huge arm's even more apparent.-

-Tibbs' mouth was agape. She moved it, trying to utter any word that she could...but none came. Just a stunned silence. Her eyes were wide, and almost fully green now. She managed to close her mouth, staring Bane in the face. Then she looked at Kera. She did not see what she thought she had just seen, or did she?
She stole a sideways glance, and saw that Kael was staring at her. She opened her mouth to speak again, but once again was mute. She closed her mouth, looked ahead once more, closed her eyes and put her fingers against her temples, the left hand a bit stiff from its cloth-bound wound. This isn't happening...Magic isn't real...parlor tricks... but she couldnt get herself convinced. not anymore. after what she saw, plainly before her.
far beyond the point of shock, she rested her head on her palms for a moment, unblinking. Then she stood up, a bit stiffly, and pointed at Kael, a glazed look in her eyes. She managed to speak, though her voice sounded strained-
That....you were....and then....you...were...yes. -she said simply, regaining herself somewhat, but still with the glazed look. she was bewildered.-

-A twisted sort of smile crosses his face.- That, I was, and then, i did, and then i was, yes.
-He says in a mocking voice. Humans can be so ignorant sometimes, did he used to be like this when he learned of magic? No, he wasn't. His society was always a bit more loose, a bit more out there. They had 'shamen' and 'healers' but they were simply men who knew their trade.
Real magic was first presented to him the day the three tigers had attacked their villa and destroyed everything and everyone but him. He hadn't blocked the idea out of his mind, in fact, he was mesmerized with the fact. He wanted it. He wanted to learn it. To master it.
But Tibbs had blocked it out- she had grown up in a society were magic was scoffed at, read about in fairy tales to children. Where the ones who believed in it were considered crazy and abnormal while the ones disbelieving to the truth went on a lead happy lives, comletly unknowing and uncaring. o it is only normal for this to come to her as a greater shock than it came to him.
But that knowledge still won't make him stop mocking her, for that is too much fun.-
Do you believe me now? -He says, attempting to speak her tongue for the first time. Of course it came out more 'doo joo bewieve me nouw?' But the thought it there.-
