-He narrows his eyes. His trick was unnerving her, but not her bird. He could see Penter out of the corner of his eye. The winged beast was simply hovering, staring at him. He shrugged it off. Not much it could do to him. He startles once, then twice as the arrows come flying. But as the last comes, he's decided he's had enough of hide and go seek. Grasping a handle on his waist, he withdraws a long glimmering sword, curved magestically, with a fierce looking tip and inscriptions of a huge tiger, pounding on the metal flat of the blade.
When he first brings it out it glow a firey shade of red. This sword was magical. He swings it with a simple flick of his wrist, cutting the arrow in half, it falls helplessly to the ground, the sword having delt a greater force than it had been moving at. (I pay attension during science xD)
He smiles grimly at first, then shows his teeth and lets his head back in a cackle, no a howl. An eerie sort of howl.
This girl is good. But he was not running any more. He jumps down from the tree, leather hide paints swaying softly at his side. As he walks closer to her, his muscular chest can be seen clearly, as can his large arms, his tan skin glistens in the waning moonlight. His handsome features are stoney, still, he makes no move. He stares at the girl.
Then, quickly and silently, his sword is drawn. He made no move with his hand, or if he did it was too quick for the eye to see, but one second he didn't have his sword, and now he did. The same once, glowing softer this time and only for a split second, giving the illusion that the glow had been all mental. The tiger on the flat of the blade seems to come alive, wriggling around on the cool metal side, fiercly snarling but making no noise. He stands in tiger pose (too tempting) his sword in his right hand. His eyes say all. 'bring it'.[XD i enjoy writing this stuff, humans ARE fun. xD Nows time for the real action]

-her eyes showed no fear, revealing how she felt on the inside. more parlor tricks, she told herself warily as she eyed the sword.
Tibbs crouched down, as if going to pounce. And pounce she did, simultaneously drawing the same small dagger that he had thrown at her earlier. she landed infront of the boy, and with as much force as she could, plunged the tiny dagger into his inner right leg. before she could be struck at she rolled back, caught herself and stood in one fluid motion, and had a hand inside her cloak.
when it reappeared, it was clutching two sickle-bladed knives. each had a coal black hilt that was bound with leather, while the blades were jagged and each about eight inches long. one weapon found each hand, and she stood poised for combat, legs braced against the earth and hands before her, pointing the knives inward and diaganol against each other. she mouthed something as well, knowing he could probably lip read-
Ladies first. -she smirked. the blue tinge in her irises seemed to expand and take over the eye coloring, pushing the green towards the center.-

-He laughs, letting his weight fall backwards causually. He says a word, staring at his knee and the cut instantly dissapears. He lets it leave a scar, as he does with all his cuts. He loved wearing his battle prizes with glory. He looks up, in a swift motion, making eye contact with Tibbs. He reads her eyes perfect and mutters loudly enough for her and only her to hear-
Well I can't see any ladies around in miles. Just trash the birds missed. -With that he jumps forward, striking her nonchalantly, his muscles heaving, almost knocking her down completly. Using her startlement as an oppertunity, her continues slashing, only touching her with the very tip of his blade, slashing through her clothes on her stomache first, and then touching her skin, but not breaking it. For he would only break her skin with his sword if he had to- the thing was poisoned. Unless she was magically healed after he did hurt her, she would die, in about 5 minutes flat.
The tiger on the blade roars, swiping it's claws forward, closer to the girl, but it cannot escape it's metalic prison. Its eyes glow red with fury, resembling two tiny rubies in every way except they flicker with their every movment. With intelligence. With life.
He throws his head back, getting his shaggy platnum blonde hair out of the way. He snorts.- 'unna lygik jal idr yufs!' -He repeats this several times, staring at her intently, speaking in his own native tribal language. Translated it would roughly be 'Do not make me use this.'
Kael was evil to the core, yes, but there was one thing that revealed his light past. He would not kill for fun. He had been taught since he was young that when you killed an animal for food, you used every part it it before killing another. He learned that if you kill a person, it is taking a life, and taking a life is only to be done in extreme cases. He would not kill her if she didn't present a way to do so. After all- he had frightened her a bit, but it had been she who had made the first move, and he was meerly protecting himself, though he had let his anger get the better of him for a while.-
'unna lygik jal idr yufs!' he repeats once again, totally unaware she probably did NOT speak the language of some ancient indian tribe which lived in the middle of nowhere and was undiscovered by the civilized mankind.-

((nah. i understood that perfectly well....kinda. if it means 'dont eat the green ones' then i understood it.)) -Tibbs growled and began to lash out with her daggers, but then he started in with the sword.
her now blue-dominated eyes widened as the blade tore through her clothing. she growled again. this was her only pair. and that remark hadn't been nice.
then the words came. those strange words. she almost stopped to think about them and how crazy they sounded, but remembered her position and began taking large steps backwards. her cloak billowed around her as a wind came, and she wished she had taken it off. it blew her hair into her eyes and she couldnt see.
she took her fifth step back and tripped over a protruding root from the ground. she lay flat on her back, breath knocked from her. her eyes were wide again as they targetted Kael, and her breathing became ragged. she couldnt get her hand to move...couldnt get her daggers into a good fighting position. the cold air nipped at the slashmarks in her clothes, chilling her bare skin. but she did not notice. for one of the few times in her life, Tibbs had a creeping shadow of fear hovering over her.
she could only watch her opponent, trying to free her booted foot from beneath the root, to no avail-

-He stares at her through his gold icy light purple eyes, but he doesn't see her face. Instead he sees his mothers. The look on her face when he had killed a small mongoose and brought it home, holding it above his head and giving out a war cry. He had killed something, and he hadn't even gone on his first hunt yet, which he would do on his fourteenth summer, when he was a 'man'.
He remembered the crushed look in her eyes when she had taken the mongoose away and buried it silently, turning to him and explaining to him that he must never harm another creature unless it meant death to him otherwise. He remembered the look of deep regret and sadness in her eyes. Something that said 'where did i go wrong' and guilt had flooded his heart as he nodded his head solomnly and promised to never again harm something unless his own life was put on the line.
He doesn't see Tibbs' face when he looks at her, instead he sees the sorrowful eyes of his belated mother- for she had perished when the three tigers had swept across their town, leaving only smoke and fires behind, none alive but him.
He walks up to her, his baggy pants blowing back in the wind until he is right above her, his face looming over her petite form, hair blowing wildly in the breeze. He throws two pieces of wood down and then quietly and quickly turns, making for the trees. Where he used to stand now lay two pieces of thin wood, and if fitted together, it would resemble an arrow, with a lightly colored featheron the end. Her arrow.-

-Tibb's blonde brows furrowed. she stared at the broken shaft perplexedly.
she was tempted to leave it at that, take the arrow, piece it together and use it later on, but the boy /had/ slashed her clothing. her only pair of clothing. the pair that her father had painstakingly stitched for her. and it would get cold tonight...too cold for torn clothing.
her eyes narrowed, now the green overcast the blue triumphantly. she was not about to leave it at that and walk off as if nothing happened.
she reached down and pulled her boot free of the root, then grasped her bow, which lie a few yards away. she strung onto it one of her own barbed arrows, aimed for the tree ahead of Kael and in his view, and let fly. The arrow had a red feather stuck rather unceremoniously to it, one of Penter's. It thudded into the tree.
Tibbs gatherred herself and stood, pushing her hair from her eyes and waiting for him to turn. she had unfinished business. she wanted to know things. and she was boiling with fury from the openings in her deer-skin vest. the one that had taken her father four days of his lifetime. she wanted repayment, in blood or goods. it didnt matter to her.-
((wow...she like...was really attached to the vest XD))

-He stops in his tacks. He knew the arrow was not meant to harm him, but still, the hairs on the end of his neck stand up. He slowly pivotes, glaring at her under his cold icy eyes. How had she managed to get up so fast? It was starting to annoy him.-
'uvvnk!? uvvnk aash ekk loo kavie-daun?' -He glowers what her. The only way Kipps would be able to translate this foreign language would be to look at his eyes and try to see what emotion was hiding there. But his eyes were icy cold and stoney, emotionless and proud. He holds himself tall, towering over the bushes. He had only been around for almost 17 summers, and he was already at least almost 12 feet tall. Two marking son his chest, one of each side, now are visible. Each a bear paw, they look tattooed into his skin almost. It only adds to an eerie effect.- 'eye juan hou loo whan!'
[XD that was fun. *cough* i want to make up my own language now xD. Roughly translated for those who don't speak Namo, the first thing what 'What?! What more do you want?' and the second was 'I've given you you're life'

-though his eyes were not readable, and she did not understand, it would be quite easy for him to get an answer. for deep within her, for many years now, she had a notion set into her heart, that she couldnt drag off. if he looked into her grief-wrought eyes, he could see her thoughts on the matter: what is there to live for? my life is for naught... and then another thought why didnt he kill me?! he could've finished me! he could have ended this miserable excuse for a life! why not?!
but she did not understand him, so she did not think to speak the thoughts. (confused yet? i am. )
all Tibbs did was point at him, and then to the large fennec fox in the background, and speak in a hissy voice that may have belonged to an enraged puma-
Why did you come here?
-she tightened her grip on her bow, and was ready to string an arrow. she gave Penter a look, and he settled onto a tree branch behind her, keen eyes locked onto Kael-
Better yet, who are you?

-He cocks an eyebrow, giving her a curious startled glance. What was this strange language she spoke? He starts to slowly step closer. Then, he jumps as the bird settles down near them, he stares at the hawk, then makes a noise that could only be described as a hiss or screach. He makes several in fact, and waits for Penter to reply. He would speak through the bird, obviously this 'lower' being did not understand his 'advanced' language.
After getting a translation from Penter, as he found the bird's name was, he replies, through telekeneisis, and words float across her head.-
Come here? I have been here. We have been here. Been here for moons! Why did you come here?
-He ignores her second question. He would not give his name until she gave hers, as was custom with her old people-

-Tibbs seemed perplexed. she looked about, wary of this telekenesis bit. it spooked her a bit, but she caught the impression that the guy was getting her messages through the hawk, so she spoke loud enough for the bird to hear- I'm a wanderer. I travel from place to place. And...-she added this next part a bit reluctantly, not sure about giving out this info to a stranger- ...I have nothing else to do. I'm alone. -she averted her gaze for a moment to keep her feelings hidden, then returned it to Kael, this time with an almost curious look on her fair face- I'm Imbrium. -she began the formal introduction that her father had driven into her head since she could speak, as he had hoped she would make something of herself and become a formal person. 'if only he could see me now' she thought sarcastically, then realized she had said it with full eye contact. she hoped this guy hadnt gotten that- Imbrium Tibbit Alabastor. -she rolled her eyes at the name- I prefer Tibbs. -she looked at Penter, as if waiting for him to communicate her long message to the unidentified person-
-Penter obligingly took it all in and screeched at Kael-

-He looks into her eyes, seeing a little bit more than he realizes he should have. And that gives him another hint as to who this strange wanderer really is. Words float across her mind once more-
I am Kael. I come... from a different place. I was sent here on a mission. Sent with Bane. We're supposed to find a plant (red flower, blue thorns!) It only grows in this location. Its tall and spiney, it usually has large thorns and is a bright vivid looking green. It can sometimes bear flowers but they have small barbs on the end withspor pollon. This is all I was told. Do you know such a plant?
-He asks the last part cocking her head to the side, his hair sways with it-

-she blinked, as if thinking- Could be a lotus plant, but they dont grow here. -she loosens her grip on the bow, he seemed friendly for now- I guess you're looking for a Geshnip Lily. -her brow furrowed again, wondering what anybody would want with one of those nasty little things- I havent seen many, but there's a small alclove about three miles west of here that's the perfect location for them to grow. -she added as an afterthought- how are you doing that? that...telekenesis...thingy?

-He smiles faintly, telepathing another message, myterious and shocking- Its magic -He says shortly, knowing she would think hi to be joking. Most normal humans did not accept the fact that magic doe INdeed exhist.-
Which direction is the alcove? -He says, straightening up, loosing his friendly looking smirk, he stares straight at her once more, as though reading her mind- (hm, i wonder how he does THAT XD)
I don't know what I need it for, I was simply told to get it by my master. -He realizes he's said too much, but doesn't let on. If he acts like he had no revealed important information, she would not ask for more.-

-as the word 'magic' was spoken she almost laughed, and she rolled her eyes. funny. this foreign guy seriously thought she believed that?-
-and oh but he had severely mistaken her in that last theory. her mind ventured as to ask what the hell he was saying, but she kept quiet. then she nodded off to her left- that way. but you cant get there on foot. i've tried. -her blue/green eyes moved their gaze to Thestral, who was still munching the moss quietly- I can get you there easily enough, I can be your guide at least...with payment. That alclove is hidden and I cant tell you exactly where it is in words. Too complicated.-of course that wasnt why she wouldnt speak the location. that was where she left her father, three years ago. she had never been able to cross the icy river again, and it took much coaxing of the horse to get him to take her. she did not want to speak the location for fear of her father's resting place being invaded by unwanted visitors- I can take you there. Nothing better to do, you know.

(Dang yew guys get too busy posty at nite. How dare thee?
Now then, after somewhat settling this position place, let's carry on...)
~The smoke-tinted ivory vixen stood yet again, letting her own plush tail sway through the air easily. She was getting too crowded. That was one thing she did not deal with well. Being confined.
Giving her mate an understanding glance, her white tipped years flickered back to the commotion going on between their boy and the stranger girl. Had they been in a different situation, Kera would have enjoyed following that conflicted. But she had her own at the moment, and her knowing swamp green eyes drifted back to the female creature that was wearing out whatever welcome she had in the first place, if any...~
'Best not get cocky with me, honey. If one clings to words as their only defense, it takes the fun out of a real battle...'
~She flexed her hidden claws now. They too, were quite large, due to the magic that ran through her kind's blood, but what mattered was not their size, but their contents. For within each needle-sharp tip was a sufficient supply of poison; enuff to kill most creatures upon contact. Kera snorted, then let herself sit once more, now directly facing the stranger and Bane...~
'So thou arth not of pure blood, eh? This shall prove to be interesting...'
~Her cold tone held amusement. She was ready for anything. She needed a nice charge before they would have to move on with their quest...~
