[shadow=maroon,left,300]-She glares at the snotty girl, letting the horse back off. She doesn't want Maulie to leave, but she knows that her anger is obvious to such a sensitive animal and he'd be overwealmed. She wishes she hadn't blown up but the girl had deserved it! Speaking of Frost like that...-[/shadow]

(ROTFOL! Yew never fail to give me a good laugh namo ^^)
[glow=sienna,2,300]-Dixon, the young stable-boy, kept a close eye on Mauli. The black stallion was now calmed down, and enjoying a fresh patch of grass. Dix (mwhahahaha! etc. And that's D-aye-ks /D-aye-ks-on/, not yew-know-what-it-myte-sound-lyke-otherwise... Why? Cuz I've turned British on yew, m'ladies^^ 'Vould yew care-fo a cup'o'tea, darling?') syghed, knowing he had work to do; but the syte of the arguing girls was too much to miss. Sage had now taken her sister's side, ready to stand up for her, yet not totally focused...-[/glow]

(after the instant chat rp)
[shadow=maroon,left,300]-She looks to Silver, her teal dog eyes blazing. How could so many people hate Frost? She watches as the lady knocks and the door is opened by the same girl that opened the door for Wonder. She smiles and lets them in. In the corner, the seamstress is being brutally 'beaten' by Eve, who seems to be unhappy with her 'creations'. The girl smiles.- Mrs Elita is busy with a guest, may I interest you in tea to wait? -Ruby's eyes glitter. An emotion not visible before is all too aparent. Fear. Surely her parents would have sent somebody looking for them? If not for Her and Sage, then deffinetly for Silver, her being her mother's heir and all... it would propose a big porblem if she wasn't in their realm with them. She inhales quickly. Could this whole thing be over befor eit started? Would somebody make the go back? Before she could even see Frost? Her mind darts dangerously from one awful thought to another. She hopes the dogs aren't found before they can take another form- it would cause serious problems for Frost-[/shadow]

If I'm wrong about weather conditions or time of day, ignore them.... I'm just one for the dramatic first impression ^^ Also, DK... if it doesn't fit into the plans, lemmie know and I'll change it. You guys kinda stopped RP'ing in the garden tho... so.... I improvised... lemmie know if you dun like it.
Lightning flashes through the night sky, revealing a dark cloaked figure leading a 'fat' horse through the deepening puddles of rain. The mare spooks; he pauses to stroke her soaked side then continues onward. It was quite obvious he wasn't exactly from around these parts and was rather lost... his hurried yet steady pace and actions made the shadowy figure seem desperate or anxious for something or someone. As a cat seeking shelter scurries beneath the lit window of a small house, the mare comes to a dead halt with the whites of her eyes showing. The shadowed figure, soon to be known as Nicholas (or Nick) is caught offguard... he stumbles and slips in the slick mud. Now, he's not only cold and wet, but he's dirty as well. "Autumn... it's just a cat." he half scolds irritatedly yet lovingly. He gets up, but doesn't bother trying to brush himself off... the slick mud would be impossible to remove, plus his cloak was no longer keeping the rain off him. Besides... he -had- to find the boy they called Dixon, for Autumn's sake. He pounds on the door of the house with the dimly lit window... a genteman in his nightware answers the door and a short conversation ensues directing Nick to the where he could find Dixon. He nods appreciatively, soaked and chilled to the bone but more worried about his horse than his welfare. He leads her down the muddied road and comes to a large, ornate stable. He looks around uneasily, not realizing that perhaps this Dixon fellow could be a palace worker... he calls out a hello, then again louder for fear of being drowned out by the rolling thunder and rain downpour. Looking like a miserable sight, he pounds a closed fist anxiously on a small side door to the stable.

(ROTF! Only yew trin... Only yew (ignore me O.ô))<br> [glow=sienna,2,300]-It was late in the evening, and the storm was just passing by. It had brought more rain then expected, tho most of it fell in the farmlands outside the palace grounds. It was needed there. A soft drizzle covered the peaceful land now, a small reminder of the powerful storm that had zipped by. The air was crisp and fresh, and oddly cold for the season. A large black stallion trotted slowly toward the stables; a teenage boy could be made out on his bak. Both the horse and the boy seemed to have been outside for a whyle, yet both were dry as can be. Magic no doubt. Yes. Magic was everywhere here. Dixon, the young stable-boy, seemed happy with the trail ride he had just taken the stallion on. He patted the horse on the side and slowed him down as they neared the bak of the barn. Dixon smiled and hopped off Mauli, opening the bak door and leading him in. He instantly knew something was different. That's when he heard the calling of another elf. He left the stallion alone for a second and walked a few yards up to the front door. Opening it, he came face to face with Nick, who seemed around 6 years older then him. Dixon eyed the mare, then turned bak to the boy. He could tell he wasn't from around here, and had most lykely come a long way. Something tho... Something was oddly famillar...- 'May I help yew sire?'[/glow]

Nick engages in conversation without any thought or hesitation. "Yes, I'm looking for an equine specialist by the name of Dixon. Do you know where I could find him?" Nick asks, not realizing that perhaps the boy himself could be that very Dixon.

[glow=sienna,2,300]-The boy manages not to laugh, only cuz this young man seemed truly troubled. He nodded slightly, waving the two in. Leaning against the wall, he looked the man over again. Yes. He had in fact seen this guy b4. But it wouldn't click ryte now...- 'Well... I don't think I'd go and classify myself as an 'equine specialist', but I'm the only Dixon around'ere sire. Anything I may assist yew with?' -He eyed the mare now, giving her a quick check-over with his eyes. Mauli, the black stallion had also taken an interest in the newcomer, and he trotted over curiously...- [/glow][/sup]

[glow=yellow,2,300]-Audrey stands further down the aisle...a chesnut mare in crossties is next to her looking at the newcomer...Audrey looks the man up and down and shrugs..It was obvious he cared more for his horse than his appearance, but he was at the palace and appearances did matter here..Back home she might look a bit like that, but here? No magic kept all her riding clothes spotless...her breeches were a tan color and her white blouse was spotless..she adds him to a growing list of outsiders and sighs...- My how this castle has changed Foxy.. -she says petting the horse before returning to her brushing-[/glow]

Nick leads 'his' buckskin mare into the dry barn, then removes his hood. Glad to have gotten Autumn out of the rain, he turns back to Dixon, looking rather dumbfounded for a moment. He was expecting... well... he wasn't sure /what/ he was expecting, but Dixon was not at all what he'd expected. Snapping his jaw shut again he swallows and turns his attention back to Autumn, who nickers softly and lips his soggy wet hair. It wasn't overly difficult to tell by Autumn's immense belly that she was heavily pregnant, but being her first foal, Nick didn't exactly know what to do. He turns his attention back to Dixon. "Well...?" he asks, noting Dixon surveying his horse. He's startled by the sudden arrival of the stallion, but only offers his hand out in response to the animal. [/color][/size]

[glow=sienna,2,300]-He catches sight of Audrey in the background, and meets her with a secret eyeroll as he closes the barn gate and walks bak into the stable. Mauli had taken the chance to sniff the newcomers, and seemed pleased. He could tell that the situation wouldn't allow him to get friendly with the mare, so he willingly went along with Dixon into his stall. After Dix had the stallion taken care of, he returned to the boy and the mare. He stopped infront of the horse, reaching out his hand to her. After she got his scent, he ran his hand along her side and gave her a brief magical check-over...- 'When's she due?' -He asked quietly as not to startle any of the other dozen horses in the barn. He could tell the mare had been traveling, and would give birth really soon...-[/glow]

Nick raises his arm and scratches the back of his head in thought, giving Autumn a puzzled expression. =Soon...= a gentle feminine voice whispers within his mind. "..yeah, well ah..." he looks at Autumn's enormous belly. "I'd say she's due soon..." he stumbles over his words, partially from chill and partially from feeling so stupid. =Two weeks at most...= the sweet voice of Autumn's thought's ran through his head. He translates to Dixon "I'd say less than two weeks...?" he half states but half questions, giving Autumn an uncertain glance.

(Ohh... Dr. Dolittle has struck again)
[glow=sienna,2,300]-Dixon watched the two converse (word?) with a raised eyebrow but asked no questions. The 'ya think?' look was clearly wrytten on his face in responce to Nick's answer, but he let it slide. He ran his fingers up the horse's head and rested on her forehead thoughfully. After a whyle he straighten up and looked at Nick...- 'I'd suggest yew give her a nice rest. A few more hours of walking in that storm wouldn't have had a good effect on her. She can stay here til she delivers, unless yew have somewhere to keep her, that is...' -He let it go at that, knowing he would get answers soon enough...-[/glow]

Autumn jerks her head away slightly but settles down slightly as Dixon placed his hand on her long forehead. Her nostils flare slightly and she makes little bitty 'poof' clouds from her hot breath on the chilled air. Nick nods appreciatively to Dixon... "I have no money to pay you, but can I offer a service of some sort?"

[glow=sienna,2,300]-Dixon smiles and shakes his head...- 'I do it for the horses. The place is totally funded by the royal family. And it's not lyke they miss the money. They've got tons more. We erm... Have an empty pen where she can stay. I'll go fix it up now...' -He turns to leave but stops midway...- 'We got a few empty rooms in the bak if yew don't have any place to stay. Yew can keep an eye on 'yewr lady' that way...'[/glow]
