[glow=gray,2,300]-Kyros padded up to Ubel and sat beside her. His dangerously dark brownish-tan coat glimmered in the evening sun as he watched the empty grasslands ahead...- 'We will soon be powerful enuff to have our revenge on Simba and his no-good pride...'[/glow]

(Yew other ppl are too slow! So there! I'm the 'king' here too! Bite me! O.ô Erm... Kyros (Master in Greek -.~) and Ubel are mates (hope yew don't mind), and anyone who wants to rp their cubs, go ahead. Other lionesses are acceptable. Usually only one lion per pride, 'cept if yew're a cub ^^)

[shadow=teal,left,300]-The second in command (muah) lioness, Iryl (eer-al) steps up to them gracfully, her long tail flowing gracfully behind her, the tuft of fur on the end sticks up like spikes. Her color-changing eyes are now deep emereld green up against her color changing pelt- now a sandy cream color.[/shadow]

(heh, Iryl means play on colors ... its a male name.. but guess what? Its female now ^_^ hurrah)

[glow=gray,2,300]-Kyros nods slightly, his thick grayish brown mane ruffling...- 'Indeed... Many loners roam =our= lands, and they shall want to be on the powerful-er (word? Now it is^^) side in case of a war; which is promising. For now, we wait. But Simba =will= go down with tyme...' -His dangerously dark eyes seemed thoughtful as he gazed past a distant tree to the same antelope herd that his mate had been tracking. Without a seconds warning, he stood up, his powerful body stretching as he prepares for a evening hunt...-[/glow]

[glow=pink,2,300]-sensing her mates hunger she stretches and prepares to go with him- Mmm...they will make a good feast -licks lips- Look over there one of Simba's -nods head towards a medium sized tan lionness with a patch of white on her back she was headed to the same herd growls- Lets get her...[/glow]

[glow=Beige,2,300]-She smiles, holding out her paw to stop her leader- Leave it to me -She slinks along the sandy colored floor, taking the exact color. She slinks around until she's unnoticed and meerly 2 feet away from the stranger lioness. She smiles and crowches. She suddenly pops up right in front of the lioness, throwing her off guard, a sweet smile on her face. Her coat is now a deeper golden color, her eyes a golden fleck green, looking as though she just appeared out of the sandy floor.-[/glow]

In a hunting group, the lionesses usually do the killing, but male lions tend to hunt down prey as well (generally loners who have no other means of getting food). The male eats first, followed by the females, and last the cubs...' -Animal Encyclopedia So there... Their manes =don't= get in the way, they just slow'm down. But go ahead. (ROTF! I was reading an old National Geographic issue last nyte, and it actually had a whole big article 'bout African lions and how the males don't have manes. Something 'bout it being too hot, but yea. My are maned, cuz manes are fluff-ay and cool, so there! )
