(too lazy for color)
Ra looks through blind young eyes, seeing nothing. His golden fur seems to shine with an unusually bright brilliance as the last of the sunlight fades through the trees and disappears, allowing stars to come out and play. His tail beats against the snowless ground... perhaps tonight would be the night. Mitul had requested that he have patience and not shift into the newly aquired Elven form he was just dying to try. He knew Mitul worried that Ra would be disappointed; there was a chance that in the elven form, he would be blessed with the gift of sight that most wolves took for granted. Ra had told Mitul time and time again that if he was still blind in elven form, it'd be okay... he wouldn't be disappointed. However, something within Ra told him it would work... it just had to work.
Mitul watches Ra as he blindly faces the sunset. It was obvious that the excitement grew heavier within the boy as the air cooled into the night. The three legged grey wolf fully intended to keep his promise to the lad; Ra would eventually shift elven. -... Not tonight...- he quietly thinks to himself without coming up for a good reason why not. He absentmindedly turned and looked at the stub where his hind leg used to be. Once he went back to elven form, the leg had been there... but as a wolf, he was destined to be missing that leg. His eyes wander back to Ra... the boy had his hopes set so high; and yet, Mitul worried. He'd known Ra from a pup... he'd known about the visions the lad sometimes had, the predictions, the hinderences.... and the fighting spirit. He couldn't bare to let Ra down, but a night would come when the boy -would- have to shift. Mitul had promised him, and it was one promise he regretted but intended to keep.
Rhia flicks her ears as the sun dips below the horizon. She trembles slightly; excitement flowed through her every vein. She hadn't really liked magic much before, but now that she was with Honor, things had changed. Night meant she could shift... and Honor could teach her more. Silently, she watches the last rays fade as she waits for Honor's return.
