[glow=lightgreen,2,300]-Ivory sat by the edge of the shadows, her eyes looked over the hurt that had bestowed upon the wolves in the somewhat large council cave. Her attention shifted slightly to watch the war playing out on the 'screen' in front of her. It killed her to watch Lunar and them fight, to not be out there helping, but she wasn't a fighter. She had never fought before, never trained to fight. She knew how to take down game, how to work healing spells, but she was no fighter. Shifting her position slightly she glanced in her fathers' direction. Knowing that he really didn't have the will to fight, but that his excuse for staying was to be one of the adults to watch over, to move on with the pack should they lose enough. She sensed a commotion on the screen and turned...A sigh escaped her as she watched Lunar and the pack fall back a couple yards, giving up space. They were slowly being pushed to the waters' edge...
She couldn't help but feel that the battle was already being lost. The sun was just reaching high noon and so many were past being able to fight. She had watched her aunt stretch her magickal abilities perhaps a bit too far and had seen the drawn look on her face as she had helped Peril with his own fight. She had watched the drain being put on so many of them, both physical and emotional. She knew Lunar was not forcing any of them to fight, but she wondered how many fought on their own free will, how many would rather just give up, but fought for her despite that. She glanced to the waterfall and to the pups, and then her gaze was attracted to a femme who seemed to radiate light...-[/glow]
[glow=violet,2,300]-SilverMoon lay curled up in the shadows. Her body would have been hidden if it hadn't been for the fact that her coat seemed to radiate light. Her golden eyes opened every now and a again as she looked at the screen, but for the most part she just lay there. In truth she was a healer, she'd gained her mothers' abilities and she had regained control of the land as soon as she had set foot back there. She refused to enter any of her old dens though, the pain she was just recovering from still sharp at times. Meeting Ivory's eyes she managed a soft smile, the return home had been especially hard for her, and she had come home quite a bit later than the rest of the wolves. The return of powers she had long since relinquished had taken their toll and she had had to work a bit harder to control them while she got used to having them. The work she'd put into controlling them had made it impossible for her to fight, she was drained both physically and mentally by the time Lunar and them had left to fight. Moving her postion ever so slightly she looked at the now-mute pup hiding in the shadows across the cavern.
So many pups had been forced to grow up early in the times since WhiteFyre had created the haven that was her packs home. Sure it was safe from most dangers, or it had been, but pups still found ways to get into trouble, or parents found ways to get themselves into trouble. Instances had forced so many of them to grow up early. For her it had been Misty, for others it was also death, some had accidents...Many lived without having to really grow up fast, but there was always that few that was forced upwards.
Sighing her memories floated back to her time in the elven realm. A tear fell from her eye as she again experienced the pain that had forced her to leave. She watched the horse she'd spent so much time befriending die at the claw and tooth of wolves. She'd tried so hard to save her, but her elven magicks had not been enough. Even her wolven pleading was not enough to convince the wolves. Closing her eyes tightly she shook her head several times trying to get rid of the images...Burying her face in her paws she curled up once more-[/glow]
[glow=lavender,2,300]-Jag entered from a back entrance and was at a loss for where her 'golden one' was. She was confused about this whole war thing, she'd heard about it in the elven realm, but she wasn't a war steed, she'd never witnessed it. Looking frazzled she clopped around for several minutes before deciding that Crystal was indeed not there. At that point she whinnied loudly, it echoed several times in the cavern and she then stood looking dejected near the fire. Her head hanging and her eyes confused she finally dropped down to a lying position and stared at the entrance...Waiting for the one person she trusted-[/glow]
