[glow=tan,2,300]-The male cheetah turns, seating himself infront of Simba with his spotted tail curled around him. He seemed well older then Simba, and indeed was. Shooting the lion cub an emotion-less glance, he continued his conversation with the lion king (-brags on-)...-
'I don't know how much tyme yew'll have left, but it's happening soon...'
'Are yew sure? Last month all that land was lifeless...'
'There's no doubt about it Simba. They are rising...'
-Simba nodded and noticed his son peeking from udner him. He smyled and pushes the young cub out of the way as he and the cheetah started walking again. The cheetah cub that had been watching b4 came up to the young lion, poking him with his long tail...- 'Who are yew?' (-isn't giving up-)[/glow]

[shadow=orange,left,300]-He shoots his dad a look for pushing him away and comes a bit closer to the cheetah. This one- after all- isn't that big.. he's acually a bit bigger, but not very noticably. Sniffing the Cheetah cub, he replies simply- Basyl. Who're yew?[/shadow]

Nature would have it that the lion cub would be larger, but his own slender form in addition to the spotted tail he owned made'm nearly twice as long as Basyl. With a thoughtful glance at the adults, he padded around his new friend playfully...- 'My name's Dysis. That's my grandfather, Morathi...' -He smyled, seating himself infront of the young lion, tail sweeping the dry earth...-
(Wee! I'm Queen of the freak-ah names today^^ -is now obsessed with the name Dysis-)[/glow]

[shadow=orange,left,300]-He smiles, over the introductions, and happy because of it- Thats my dad, Simba. -He says, standing. he starts to circle his new friend, about ready for a new game... he doesn't know that if Dysis didn't want to play, he could easily run away- or climb back up the tree(which by the way, cheetahs can't do, lol), but if he did, Basyl would probably be stronger than his new cheetah cub friend... he doesn't know this, nor care-[/shadow]

[glow=tan,2,300]'Indeed he is...' -Dys (nickname-y goodness) adds with a laugh, not bothering to inform the cub that Simba was well known, even to a youngster lyke him. He smyles and follows the sound of Basyl padded around'm with his ears. He finally stands and starts circling th lion cub as well, his intelligent golden brown eyes sparkle in the setting sun, which happened to be what his name meant...-[/glow]

Colors? we dun need no stinkin colors...
[glow=white,2,300]Sheena flicks her tail, halfway enticing her sister and halfway intrigued by a brightly colored bird. Distracted, she shrugs... =Idunno...= she lowers herself to the ground, though it was obvious the bird had already spotted them. With a semi coordinated leap through the air, she fully misses the creature and it flies off, squawking unintelligably. She makes a face, but her attention turns back to her sister, who was flopped over. She grins at this opportunity and pounces her.... in between playful bites, she asks =Whattayou wanna do?=[/glow]
Calliope watches her daughters with mild interest as the young tiger cub sleeps amongst her front paws. She knew Sheena & Azura were safe so long as they were close to the pride... her attention falls back on this little lost cub now. She wondered, curiously... where had he come from? Why had he been left alone, at such a terribly young age? She licks his head affectionately, loving him more and more as time passed. =Rodney...= she whispers, giving him a name. Now all she had to worry about was whether or not Simba would accept him as a son.... she flicks her tail. She had thoughts that he probably would, but there were times when he could be rather unpredictable. Tired yet watchful eyes return to Azura & Sheena.

[glow=tan,2,300]-Azzie's gaze falls from the clouds to her sister's overly-large head. She joins in the playful bites, but soon has turned the tables; now pinning Sheena down. With her tail playfully flicking to and fro, she baks off and shakes; having been covered in dirt and grass in seconds flat. Sitting bak, she shrugs; eyes on their mother and the white fuzz ball, wondering what on earth it was...- 'Erm... It's gonna get dark soon. Maybe once dad and Basyl come home, we'can figure something out...' -She thoughtfully turns bak to her sister, ears searching for an unheard sound...-[/glow]

[glow=tan,2,300]-As nature would also have it, Dys had excellent reflexes. Ducking at just the ryte moment, he allowed the larger lion cub to flew ryte over his thin, flexable body. He straighten bak up, grinning at Basyl...- 'Yew gotta take it easy. Plan yewr attack. It's best to start learning whyle young...' -He teased. Living with his grandfather had it's advantages. Altho he'd go through a lot of training, he was already skilled in stalking, hunting, and attacking. 'Course he was too young to do anything with his talents, but it was worth it when he'd play with others. Giving up with logic, he came at the lion cub again, totally playfully now...-[/glow]

A wide funkey looking grin appears as Dys starts to act like the cub he is, and Basyl instantly pins him to the ground. Now that stratagy wasn't part of te play- instinct told him, he could win-[/shadow](lmao, strong but dumb  he'll get better with age)

[glow=tan,2,300]'Indeed... Then I'll inform the others...' -Simba's voice could be heard in the bakground as he'd slowly started making his way bak toward the cubs, with Morathi ryte by his side...-
'Yes... Yew'd have a month at the most. They are growing fast. I shall keep yew informed son...'
-Simba nodded...- 'Thank yew Morathi. We'll be in touch...' -He reached the playing cubs and smyled at them through the darkening air. The sun had set and a golden glow lingered in the wide open skies...- 'Come'on Basyl. We must be getting home to yewr mother and sisters...'[/glow]
[glow=tan,2,300]-Dysis swapped at the lion cub playfully, wiggling out from underneath him. His reflexes were outstanding; as cheetah's tended to be. He looked up, way up, at Simba and resisted pouting. He was just starting to have fun. Looking past the lion king toward his grandfather, he scampered off to him. After a short conversation, he ran bak in seconds flat, not even tired...- Can I walk with yew guys til yew get home, then come bak? I know the land well enuff. Grandpa said it was alryte, if it's ok with yew sire...' -He looked up at Simba who nodded and started off toward their pride lands...-[/glow]

(Nooo... I mean Sire... Cuz...I said so... And.... I don't see much of a difference except that Sire is used in breeding (the father) and it's also a vampire term (the vamp who make yew a vamp), and it's purdy-er and I'm done...)

One day...' -Simba padded on, trying to get them home b4 it was completely dark. altho he knew the young cheetah had been trained well, he didn't fancy him off in the middle of the nyte alone. Reaching the pride lands, he located Calliope and the girls, and started off toward them...-[/glow]

Calliope raises her head as sleepy eyes spot a familiar shape on the horizon. She doesn't dare move... the cub was still sound asleep between her forlegs, as she'd hoped he'd stay. Pushing her whiskers forward in a smile, she points out to the girls (Azzie & Sheena) that their father was home.
Sheena stops her play immediately, still full of the energy of a youngster, but hey... playing all day was tough work. Her young blue eyes scan the area; spotting her brother and father 'over there', she scrambles to her feet to race her sister to meet them.
(bah... don't expect many posts outta me... we've got rehearsal 3-7, then I've got homework & chores... tomorrow I'm outta classes all day rehearsing, dress rehearsal tomorrow night, school friday, we open friday night, and we perform again Saturday. Meef.... wish me luck...)
